Does the Product have any ongoing fees?
MinorDecliner's System is available as a one-time purchase that includes all hardware and software pre-loaded, ready to put into place and start scanning.
We also have a new option for a comprehensive service and support program that provides unparalleled support, protection, and updates for your ownership experience.
How does your scanner read the customer's ID?
Unlike other magnetic swipe age verification scanners and card readers, our system uses an ID scanner to read the barcode on the back of any US or Canadian identification using our proprietary MinorDelciner™ system If the ID is not readable, a manual entry method is provided.
Does the application need to be updated each year?
The calendar within the software auto-updates. If any changes are made to the minimum legal age for any of the products you sell, it's easy to reconfigure that setting within the app. So no updates are needed to keep the core functionally working.
We continually innovate at Minor Decliner, and software updates for new features will be made over time.
To get access to the updates, you must enroll in a service and support plan within 30 days of your purchase.
Is an internet connection needed to operate the ID Scanner or software?
For basic operations, the Minor Decliner system does not require any internet connection.
If you are using the NACS Truage(™) Protocol, this does require internet, via wired, wireless or cellular connection. The NACS Truage(™) Protocol, also will work in an offline mode if the internet is temporarily unavailable.
What setup or configuration is required?
MinorDecliner comes ready-to-use out of the box with minimal user setup. Simply turn it on when it arrives and go.
