Product Specifications: Our Smart ID scanner works and has the capability to scan Driver’s licenses and state issued ID’s. There’s also a manual entry option for passports and ID’s that are worn out and don’t read on the scanner. Our scanner works in all 50 states, Canada, and some states in Mexico.

Scan Logging: The tablet shows quick and visible 'Sale or No Sale' results for expired and underage ID's, and for Fake IDs (after optional Fake ID module activation). The system includes a configurable compliance log for scan data. You can fully configure the data logging in 'Settings' to your needs and can view this on the tablet or export it to a computer. UTAH Compliant data logging setup available in settings. The out of the box setup records the scan data on a 45-day rolling basis. It records the date / time of the scan, the birthday, the driver’s license expiration date, and the scan results - pass / fail.

Fake ID Detection: In general, ID Scanners do not detect fake IDs from a barcode scan. They detect if a person is over 21, and that ID is not expired, based on the barcode. This system includes new advanced software to find 90% plus of Fake ID’s, with the Intellicheck upgrade option. 6 free fake scans are included. After that, the Fake ID module requires subscription purchase. There are no added costs for ID scanning for age check and expired check. Fake ID checking is via Intellicheck and requires WIFI or Ethernet connection.

When you want to do a fake check, you simply touch a button on the screen and the next scan will be checked through the intellicheck fake check service.

Subscriptions: You can decide on this after you get the system and try the fake scan feature. To learn about subscription when you get your system simply touch the learn about upgrading button on the tablet and enter your e-mail. You'll get information from us with all the details of the subscription program and the ability to reach out for any further questions. A Wi-Fi or Internet connection is required to send the e-mail and for the subscription module to activate.

Subscriptions also include software updates, remote support and will include new value-added features as we roll them out. We've designed the subscription program to be flexible, easy to use and economical. Subscriptions start at $10 a month, and currently range to $19.00 a month. Subscriptions differ in the amount of fake check credits that are offered at each subscription level. There's a three-month minimum for a subscription and we have flexibility to tailor programs to best fit your needs.

Does Minor Decliner scan passports and military ID's?

The US Government prohibits using Military ID for non-Government uses, including as ID for an age restricted purchase.

The scanning of the technologies (to include barcodes) on Department of Defense ID cards is for U.S. government use only. The information is marked for official use only.

Not only is it unwise to photocopy military and government IDs or common access cards (CAC), it's actually illegal under Title 18, U.S. Code Part I, Chapter 33, Section 701, and is punishable by fine and imprisonment.

While other companies may claim to offer this feature, Minor Decliner is not going to run afoul of the Department of Defense and the US Government. Be very careful if someone says they can scan Military IDs. You may be exposing yourself and your company to big problems.

I received the system and was scanning in no time at all. We were able to train our staff quickly and we love the clear and easy to understand interface. I think the fake ID detection will be great for us and flexible to use when we need it. It’s the easy button for ID scanning.

If you're looking for a reliable ID scanner, look no further!

As someone who works in the service industry, I have used several ID scanners in the past, and I have to say that this one is by far the best.

First off, the build quality is top-notch. The device is solidly constructed and feels very durable, so I'm confident it will last me for years to come. The scanner is also very easy to use - all you have to do is hold the ID card about 3" from the scanner, and it will automatically scan the card and display the results on the screen. I was pleasantly surprised by how fast it is, it only takes a second or 2 to read the information on the card.

What I love most about it however is how accurate it is. I've had issues with other scanners in the past that would frequently misread information. This is much easier than trying to figure out someone's age manually. This scanner will save me a lot of trouble and prevent staff from accidentally serving minors.

Overall, I can't recommend this ID scanner enough. It's well-built, easy to use, and incredibly accurate. If you're in the market for an ID scanner, this is definitely the one to get.

Should have had it before being fined

We just got fined and I needed to make sure it does not happen again. This ID scanner is so easy to use and I just wish I had gotten it sooner. We got both the countertop for the bar and the portable camera-based for the door. The fake ID finder is great also and there to use when we need it. I had a question on Monday @ 7pm and they called back and took care of me – totally unexpected and off the chart great customer service.
